SO NOW—we have the spectacle of the MIDWAYERS and the HIGHER INTELLIGENCES, apparently aligning themselves on the side of a FAVORED FEW on earth and FOMENTING a terrific conflict by dividing GOD’S CHILDREN against one another . . . branding ALL who do not conform to this plan for a new world as EVIL. Harry—if a part of God indwells us all—WHY would God take sides . . . and why these International Committees of Midwayers, etc., etc. . . . passing on directions to mortals . . . Are we not to THINK and GROW for ourselves? Are we to be used as PUPPETS in this life and pushed around as a child pushes TOY SOLDIERS . . . told what to do . . . with HATREDS and PREJUDICES developed through our being told that certain of our friends are ENEMIES if they don’t think as WE DO . . . etc.?

Dr. S. has such an influence over the Forumites that most of them said, “Isn’t it wonderful? We’re going to be given the entire plan for the new world.”

They have entirely forgotten that the communication last year stated, “The world war has nothing to do whatsoever with the Urantia papers and you, as a Forum body, are to have nothing to do with it, or world conditions.”

In other words, the SPIRIT OF TRUTH was to be liberated in the world and permitted to do its work . . . but now Dr. and his satellites are TAKING OVER and getting ready to RUN the world, if they can. It is incredible and, grieved as we were at the thought of a possible destruction of the Urantia papers, we can see now, if something drastic is not done—their value to the world is going to be destroyed anyway. I have no faith but what Dr. S. will pervert them any way he chooses to accomplish his own interpretation, in his lustful desire for power. The Forum members are bewildered . . . almost hypnotized . . . and a little bit SET UP and PLEASED that they should have the MANTLE of all this world responsibility fall upon them.

HARRY—if MY CONCEPT is right—then the Urantia truths and BOOK were intended to open the minds and souls of all humans to the realization that they could KNOW the WILL OF GOD . . . and follow it, through contact with their TA. Being God-led in this manner, humans would soon develop a true brotherhood . . . and all social and economic problems would begin to solve themselves. BUT—if we get MESSED AROUND with different groups, FIENDISHLY SUPPORTING different IDEOLOGIES and representing that these IDEAS came from HIGHER SOURCES—then we are LOST!
